Live Weller Always Great
Always great to listen to live Paul Weller performances, especially those from the mid-90s on this disc!.


Wailin' with Weller
So when this live one came out I bought it immediately. "Wildwood" is one CD that if I were prone to do so, I would rank it with the best of anybody's best. This performance is great sound, musicianship and presence rolled into one. Weller reminds me of the Tragically Hip in the sense that I cannot understand why we here in Amerika don't carry him about on our rock and roll shoulders! This man has it all my fellow Amerikans! The pipes. The song writing. A great bunch of musicians on every release. The Modfather looks. From the working videos I've seen his bandmates like the guy so why don't we? Wake up and hear the Weller man wailing! HE'S TALKING TO YOU!.


top geezer, top tunes

Passion, delivery, great tunes, no nonsense. If you don't buy this you must be certifiably mad.
Weller's the geezer - everybody in the US that thinks they know about music should have this, and everything else the man has done.


Soul and more
Here is a tougher, more soulful version of an album with a thousand influences. Forget the original. You can hear the band working together chewing through 20 years of american and british r'n'b. Yeah its a rock record but they hit that groove most of us spend alot of time looking for on almost every track. Beautifully recorded too. (lets hope he does the same to his new jam tart soundtrack - heliocentric).
