If It Ain't Broken......
True, the orchestration's nice, and the voices are OK, but what's the purpose of it all? Listening to these songs only makes me want to hear the real tunes, sung by the artists who made them great. I guess I'm genuinely stumped by this one. It's akin to refilming "Gone with the Wind" for 21st- century audiences: Since these songs were perfectly performed the first time, why bother remaking them? If it ain't broke -- which the original performances clearly aren't -- why fix them?.

Besides a lot of people said that isn`t a good album I have to say that I love it, is an easy album excelent to listen in a paceful night or place, I`ve listen the original songs and I don`t like it to much, I love the way the sing this songs, for me are excelent!

and It is an excelent tribute to Frank!

Be Westline, NOT Frank!
But not this! This makes me feel like I'm back in the 50's. I LOVE Westlife, they have excellent voices and albums. I thought they would only be singing Sinatra's SONGS, not impersonating his voice as well! You can hardly even tell it's them singing because it doesn't sound like them. The 50's tunes & whistling also makes it sound like they're recording this at the circus. This album is absolutely terrible! If you like their other albums - all of which are excellent - you probably won't be too fond of this.

Thoughts from an old fogey . . .
Nonetheless, I have to confess I'm a new total fan of Westlife. I'm sure it won't enhance Westlife's image to be praised by someone as old as I (closing in on 60). It was stumbling on this wonderful album, which features songs from "my" generation, that made me first aware this group even exists . . . strangely they're virtually unknown in the USofA. One play of "Ain't That a Kick in the Head" and I was hooked and subsequently bought several of their other CDs. BoyBand music isn't exactly my thing but every track on every CD proves just how broad their abilities are and why they're still around when most other BBs are long gone. Maybe it's because they avoid the pseudo-soul crotch-grabbing thing. Anyway, keep 'em coming guys--there's so little real talent out there. We need the likes of you!.
