the wetter the best...
With this, their fifth and final studio album for Capricorn, Jimmy Hall and company further push the envelope in defining Southern rock by incorporating elements of r&b, soul, country and funk into their unique brand of high energy rock and roll. Yet another great record from one of the South's most unappreciated and least respected rock bands, Wet Willie. The end result is the best Wet Willie album of them all. From the uptempo opener "No, No, No," to the funky riffs of "Baby Fat," to the more melancholy approach of "Ring You Up" and "Everybody's Stoned," THE WETTER THE BETTER signifies the ever-changing approach this band takes in creating new music. The band even enters new territory with the jazz/pop-influenced "Everything That 'Cha Do (Will Come Back To You")(the album's lone chart single). Long-time fans will also welcome the addition of Michael Duke, whose songwriting contributions and vocal work only make this record even stronger (don't worry, Jimmy Hall is the man!). First released in 1976, THE WETTER THE BETTER is part of the newly-remastered Capricorn Classics series.

Man,oh man, I can hardly wait.
Poor locale, needless to say, but the blues poured, the roll rocked and the sweat beaded - I've worn this album out - It jumps off your stereo, and it will jump off mine the minute it get it. I sneaked in and saw WW at a south Georgia tobacco warehouse when I was 12.
