Bryan White's Greates Hits
I bought it for "Someone eleses Star," but the whole CD was more than I expected. Bryan White has such a soothing voice, his Greatest hits CD is beyond description. . . it is wonderful!.

Greatest hits...less one
To me, he's a very underrated artist who didn't get enough exposure over the years that he deserved it. I've always had a soft spot for Bryan White's songs, especially since I heard the song "I'm Not Supposed to Love you Anymore". I bought this album expecting pretty much what I loved about him: his delivery of any kind of music he sings. This sums up a short but what I'd consider a fruitful career for this balladeer. In it are some of the sweetest, be it mushy at times, love songs I've heard including the one I mentioned earlier. What this lacks though, is one of my very favorites "You're Still Beautiful to Me". Other than that, it is what it exactly is, his greatest works in one album.

My Idol Inspires Me Again
Now I sing, write, and listen to country music. I hated country music and mocked anyone who listened to it until I heard Bryan White's voice. I've met this man several times and he's always been gracious and has never let me down as a role model.

This album closed the chapter of his career that didn't really seem to be working anymore. I loved the "How Lucky I Am" album, but it didn't get any coverage. Scott Emerick was a favorite of mine on the road I'm so glad he wrote a song and sang the back-ground for it ("The Way You Look At Me") and then How Long was a great mix of where he is going and his music in the past. Other that. . . . it's a solid look at his hits. I think there should have been more songs associated with it, but. . . . ya know.

I can't wait until there is another CD to write about!.

great collection; could've done without track #6.
i don't like Shania Twain and therefore i won't usually recommend anything with her voice on it. track #6 makes me give this otherwise great CD 4 stars. . . but this is the CD age and once you get to track #6, hit the fast-forward button on your player. that song is awful, in my opinion. other than that, the other 11 are quality Bryan White recordings. two non-hits are here: "How Long" and "The Way You Look at Me". this leaves us with 10 hits. ironically it starts off with "Love is the Right Place", an up-tempo hit song from 1997. . . i would've went chronological if i were compiling the CD. Bryan has had four #1 hits in addition to 6 more Top-40 hits. his first single, "Eugene You Genius", hit #48 in the fall of 1994 (he was 20 at the time!). that single isn't included on here and it should've been. just as ironic is that the CD's closing song was his first #1 hit: 1995's "Someone Else's Star". His biggest hit is the 2 week #1 "So Much For Pretending", which is track 8 on here. Bryan's last major hit to date, "One Small Miracle", was written by Bill Anderson and Steve Wariner and it hit #16 in early 1998. Bryan White epitomized the country music scene in the mid-late '90s. His songs are well crafted but not edgy or hardcore country. His clean-cut image doesn't allow him to record traditional country music and be taken seriously. His voice is much more along the lines of his idol, Steve Wariner. Bryan White turned 30 last month. . . the age when most singers are just starting to make a name for themselves. . . the back of this CD cover shows a picture of Bryan and even THIS makes a person think of Steve Wariner in the pose Bryan is standing in. for many curious as to what country radio was playing in the mid '90s, take a listen to this collection. like i said, all the songs {except track 6} are good. . . in a sugary kind of way.

Bryan White is a STAR!!!
Bryan is so young. . yet he is so talented with a real gift for poetry in his music. I can't wait to see him in concert someday. Even if you don't care for country. . . you will
love Bryan White.

Thanks for this great music Bryan.
