A must
Get Behind Me Satan was not the same sound (not that any of their stuff is) The White Stripes have put out before. Following in line with this unconventional album by The White Stripes, that is what you'll find on this cd. They went out on a limb that not many people do; which for them was probably like a walk in the park! At first sound it may not be something even the die hard fans liked. But once you trust them, which you die hard fans know you will, you realize that they just took you to a new place. And I for one will never get tired of going down that path with them. That is what Who's a Big Baby is. A great great sound to the song. I prefer sound to lyrics so that's probably why I like this song so much. Very different and worth hearing what your White Stripes are up to. : ) The third song, Though I hear you Calling, is a classic White Stripes sounding fantastic song. Just another great one to enjoy. The fourth is a live version of a song you can get on Elephant. Jack sounds beautiful in this live song. Great thing to own. Not to mention the title song, Blue Orchid. Who doesn't love that one? .

Great single, fun b-sides
As a big White Stripes fan, I'll pick up any singles I see in the store, which is actually pretty rare to see. I don't know exactly what issue of the Blue Orchid EP I have is, but it has the title track, the two b-sides, and the You've Got Her In Your Pocket live take. But this was more of an asset to me than the Walking With A Ghost EP by a long shot. The single is damn good, one of the few good ones from Get Behind Me Satan. And the two b-sides are disposable but fun little scraps/leftovers. Whose A Big Baby is funny and playful as long as you don't take it seriously, and Though I Hear You Calling is just plain fun. But the live take I'm just not interested in, and although the song has some good moments, it might be my least favorite song on Elephant and is all around not that good of a performance. In a word, interesting. Fans will want this.

Fabulous A-Side, awful b-sides
The song "Blue Orchid" is just great. It really pains me to give such a fantastic band three stars. It's guitars and fascinating lyrics are captivating. But the b-sides could have been done better.

"Who's A Big Baby" is appaling. When I bought the single (before the album came out), I was kinda afraid that the album might not be that good. Thankfully, the album was great, but this song is really terrible.

"Though I Hear You Calling" is only OK. It's a hell of a lot better than Who's A Big Baby. It has an interesting riff, and was a relief after Who's A Big Baby.

The live version of "You've Got Her In Your Pocket" is great.

Overall, this is not worth your money. Spend your money on the singles that came afterwards, "My Doorbell" and "The Denial Twist". Those singles are excellent, but not Blue Orchid.

Wierd Stuff but Really Cool Stuff
This Single kicks @ss buy it and shut up "Who's a Big Baby" rules and Meg sounds so cute singing it.

Another great addition
Even when repackaging their hits the Stripes continue to surprise and impress. It just keeps getting better. The two new songs ("Baby" and "Calling") won't be everyone's favorite but they continue to showcase the Stripes confidence, talent, and ability to translate all kinds of musical types into something new and appealing. .
