LESS IS MORE, THE STRIPES ARE LIVING PROOF! This disc is fantastic. Is this disc a must have for merely casual fans of the Stripes? Probably not, but then again you don't have to be a die hard fan for it to REALLY grab your attention either. It never ceases to amaze me how much the stripes can accomplish with just guitar, drums and vocals. All these overproduced, slick bands out there that claim to be rock bands should take note. Even with a striped down format and low tech recording the Stripes have harvested every ounce of creativity from this composition as possible.
The Spanish language version of Conquest is incredible and Jack makes the vocal sound so natural you wonder if English really is his first language. If that wasn't enough, the striped down, acoustic version completely reinvents the song. If you are a huge stripes fan as I am, the biggest problem with this disc will be deciding which version you like better.
Of course the attention to detail is there, from the sleeve layout to the cover art. This isn't something that the record company threw together for a money grab, this is a full blown stripes creation that continues to impress the listener with their creativity & dedication.

Clever and Fun
The remix of Conquest into Spanish and the art design of mouse and snake are fun, clever and my 9 year loves it too.
