As for me I've only been listening a short short time. Old Keith Whitley has been singing country for a long long time. After listening to the Alison Krause version of "You say it best. . . ", I became interested in the Keith Whitley version, which in its own way was a treat to listen to. Progressing on through the SUPER HITS collection I realized this is foundation on which tody's more mainstream country rock is built on. I think you'll like the songs on their own merits as well as hearing the origins of today's country blues.

If you like country music,you'll love this cd. I have listened to country music for over 35 years and Keith Whitley is the very best voice in country music. I also recommend the cd-I'm no stranger to the rain. Country at it's best--believe me!.
