Nostalgia
All of the adapted Who songs from the original CD are great, especially "The Real Me".
This CD is The Who at their best. All of the mod hits on the CD are great, especially "High Heel Sneakers". This CD is nostalgia for me from when I first heard it in my early teens in the early eighties. I first heard this CD during the summer of 1980 at the Jersey shore in New Jersey, of course. The CD blew me away. I still listen to it to this day. It really takes me back to my younger days. If you are as big a Who fan as I am, you will love it. Don't forget to see the movie, it is great.

Quadrophenia ~ The Who
It was not exactly what he expected. I bought this CD for my husband. He was surprised it was a soundtrack. We both loved the music and various artists on it.

Great sampler
I Bought this on cassette in Madrid in 1980 and was completely blown away by it. . excpet i at first misstook the wind on I am the sea for tape hiss. . . anyway this is a great re-mastering (I think, because the sound is cleaner somehow) of the best of the Quadrophenia songs plus a few that were not on the original, as well as some great Mod favourites. There is not one weak song on here.

QUAD SONGS FROM THE SOUNDTRACK
Its a shame the whole album ain't here,I mean the whole regular album of course. Yeah great sound on all these tracks. It seems tempting to me to hear beefed up versions of other songs from the original WHO album, like CUT MY HAIR and QUADROPHENIA would have been nice or even the ROCK would have been cool. I must say I don't miss the rest of the movie soundtrack songs by the other artist that where left out with the exception of HI HEELED SNEAKERS by whoever I don't remember. But JOHN'S bass just rock's out on all of these tracks. He will be sorely missed if the band decides to tour again. Losing KIETH was one thing and still calling it THE WHO,but losing JOHN is quite another thing. Well that said this disc has other WHO songs that at the time of release where unheard of(GET OUT AND STAY OUT,JOKER JAMES,AND FOUR FACES)all work well. And of course the 2 openers which date back to the high numbers era are always a blast too. To sum it up THE WHO are the greatest, enjoy .

The Who's BEST
What can I say? I was late coming to The Who. "Quadrophenia". I won tickets, while I was in high school, to see the home-town premiere of "Tommy" the motion picture. The Stockton Theatre, Stockton, California, 1975. I was 17. I won tickets from my favorite radio station, KJOY, wow! by phone while getting ready to go to school one morning. I was the fifth caller (or whatever). My best friend Brenda and I got super-stoned on a couple of joints of local homegrown and went to see "the premiere". It was like nothing I'd ever seen before. Jesus, did you see Tina Turner? F'ng intense! I was an instant Who fan, for life. "Quadraphenia"? Was something special. I thought it was written for me; a sound track to help me deal with my teen-aged life; to manuever through the rocky shoals of teenhood and early adult-hood. Bless you Pete Townshend. When I read that a movie was made, I checked my local paper daily for a local release date. When I found a listing in my local paper, I cried. Yeah, I cried because this album meant so much to me. I saw it 3 times in the week that it played in Stockton, again at the Stockton Theatre. This album is brilliant. It helped me through so many bad times. Listen and learn, learn to love your life and learn to love the genius of Pete Townshend.
