A Must Have The epic 'Who's next' ranks as one of the greatest accomplishments in music history. Let me state the obvious. However, lets not forget the packaging of this deluxe edition. In an age with music downloads, the CD has become almost an after thought. Not in this case! You'll get a high quality, durable package that opens like a book. The discs are designed to look like the original record. The booklet is more like a novel -- almost 30 pages including some rare photos. There's no question this will become a collectors item down the road. You also might want to check out the Who's other deluxe editions. I have them all and keep them in pristine condition.

One of the best Who albums
What more can be said about this universally lauded Who album? Although my personal favorite is Sell Out, Who's Next contains all the group's most famous classics (the kinds of songs one would be most likely to hear on an FM classic rock station. . or a commercial). Highly recommended. The bonus tracks are also great in this edition.
DELUXE EDITION of the best "who" record they, ever put out.
As far as the sound quality is concerned, it could have been better, one highlight is hearing John Entwhistle play bass again, that was impressive, especially since I recently heard the Live five song DVD from 2006 performance, included on the not so great Endless Wire CD/DVD. I agree with the other reviews as far as the fact that the disc has been remastered on CD, since 1996, as far as I know, along with bonus tracks, but disc two, I've never heard, the who perform the songs of WHO'S NEXT, in a LIVE setting before, well maybe some of the songs, but not most of the songs, so on that level it was worth checking it out, plus I got from my local library, so, I didn't pay nothing to hear it. That concert was kind of a dud, even Daltrey was so hot that night.
WHO's NEXT DELUXE EDITION
It was worth every penny. I was skeptical if the deluxe edition would be woth paying double of what the standard edition costs. The quality and content were WAY above my expectations. If you are wondering if the deluxe edition of Who's Next is worth the extra bucks, believe me, it IS !!

The best of the best
These live tracks are awesome and the sound quality is loud and clear. Sure we have all heard the Who's Next studio album a million times and it is one of the best all time classic rock albums but this Deluxe Edition is all about the live tracks.
This album catches this quartet at their absolute peak and I rank the disk two above the "Live at Leeds" album mainly because the song selection is better. No prissy tunes from "Tommy" here. The first three tracks on disc two "Love aint for Keeping","Pure and Easy", and "Young Man Blues", are non stop raw energy. Pete complianing about the fan dancing (apparently on stage) after "Behind Blue Eyes" is unreal. . . . . "because this is a new song and it is hard to remember the chords".
The best track is "Bargain" with Pete humming in place of a synthesizer and Keith still sober enough to pound out the beat like only he can. At first I thought this could of been recorded in a garage somewhere but upon a second listen you will conclude this is raw rock and roll at its best.
Get this album it is a frickin bargain.
