Now a big fan On a recent business trip my boss and co-worker (who are HUGE fans) played a couple songs for me. I've heard about Widespread Panic for years but for some reason never took the time to listen. I was impressed enough to pick up their greatest hits to get a better idea about what they're all about. I was blown away by the musicianship and just plain great songs. I'd categorize their sounds as Jam Band meets Southern Rock. Since buying this about 6 months ago I've bought almost all of the rest of their catalog and will finish soon. I highly suggest this for new listeners, those wanting to explore their work and even existing fans who want a collection of some of the best songs together in one place. My personal favorites are song #1 Traveling light (Eric Clapton also released this song in 2001 on the album Reptile) and Pigeons.
