This was a special request from my Dad, he is very happy with this purchase. Hank "Luke the Drifter" Williams shares his heart with his fans in this album. This album is helping him through a tough time in his life. Dad gives it a thumb up so that makes it two of us. If you are a Hank Williams Sr. , fan this is a must have!.

I have tried for years to buy it and have Amazon to thank for being re-united. I originally bought this on 33 over 40 years ago and wanted a digital copy. The wife thinks that some of the lyrics are depressing but I prefer to think of them as being up-lifting. Hank Williams takes basic emotions and weaves them into experiences that make us all the richer for opening ourselves up to the feelings they generate. The songs are about values, long established relationships, silly but devastating mistakes, empathy with all of mankind. A great unique buy.


Just as I had hoped
I got my wish. I bought this CD hoping that the recordings were original and not enhanced by having an orchestra playing. Hank Williams Sr. was a great talent that was taken much too young. .


Ole Hank
I have some of the songs by different Artists, but Hanks versions are all good. What can I say, anything by Hank Williams was good, and this one is too.

I cannot believe the original sound quality,it is superb. excellent value. I have wanted this LUKE THE DRIFTER for years and never thought that i would be able to appreciate this mans singing voice again. Any Hank Williams fans will not be disappointed with this recording.
