Real and down to earth, this is the best country record of the year! Speaking the truth that no one wants to hear. 3 is back and he's done it again. I've said it before and it's important to say here: Truth is the toughest obstacle. Pullin' no punches and lettin em land where they may, 3 says what needs to be said and everyone needs to turn their ear to listen closely. This album is more diverse in its content, but it's still raw, honest, real country. He hits his mark dead between the eyes on each track and his mood is more unstable and reckless on this record than any of his previous efforts, but that can only be a sign of his genuine anger and frustration at the current state of the cannibalistic music industry and the battles he is fighting to gain ground without compromising his soul - which he does in spades! Buy this album and your favorite six pack and you'll be in good company sitting alone by the stereo.
This is What Country Music Should Be!!!
Hank III has the balls and the talent to really capture life. This is what Country music should sound like. This is not for those who drool over the typical Pop 40 Country that is currently making me sick. Damn Right, Rebel Proud is awesome!!!!! I love this album!!!!.
Hank III keeping it real
He might not be for everybody but he has a style that no other artist has. I am glad to see Hank III hasn't changed. This album is just what you would want and expect from Hank III.

Good but not his best
I appereciate everything that makes Hank,Hank we all know he's an outlaw and respects all the other outlaws( Waylon,Willie, Johnny Cash,David Allen Coe)and that he's a country outsider thats why he's so awesome. Hank 3 latest Damn Right, And Rebel Proud is a good cd but not his best. But enough of how Nashville and The Grand Old Opry sucks we get it and know it thats why we like Hank and enough of the many drugs he does and how much booze he drinks and how man times he can swear. I'm not a prude but his last two efforts while they have some really good songs there are a lot of songs that seems juvinelle to me. Risin Outlaw and Love Sick were awesome and had a rebel side. All the legends that he follows while outlaws never really sang about all the garabage stuff,my childern ages 11 and 6 love Hank but with STH & DRRP they can't listen to everthing next time how about going back to tradiontal country and leaving everthing else for Assjack. .
Hank III Rocks!
this is the real sound of country, its a shame you dont hear it on the radio.
