Sweet Ol' Music!!
She has a great voice. This is a fantastic CD, one of Lucinda's finest! I have all her CD's. This one is very mellow; soft, not as rocking as some of her other ones.


West is still the best

Car Wheels on a Gravel Road was nearly as good as West but somehow Sweet Old World appeared to be a bit too easy peace from an artist with this kind of talent. After listening Lucinda Williams' album West I became an instant fan and bought a couple of more CDs right away. Lucinda Williams can do better.
Don't get me wrong. Sweet Old World is not a poor album. On the contrary. But many of the songs are just beautiful "traditional" tracks without the soul tearing spices of songs on album West.

This was good but West is still the best.

What can I say. . her voice is great. . . I can listen to this over and over.

Good CD
Some of the songs are funky, but all of them enjoyable. Lucinda Williams has that southern rock, southern bluesy twang to her voice and music. You can't help but to start singing and moving your body. I recommend this CD if you what a little bit of country mixed with the blues, and a little rock-n-roll woven in.


God! I love Lucinda


. Lucinda Williams! On the surface her lyrics can sometimes seem so simple, but they always hit the mark.
