Music to my ears Everything is just great. This CD is as described, new, excellent condition and packed with Mason
Williams. Delivery as promised. No complaints at all.
Great favorites and new good songs
All of my favorites from the album are on this CD and I found the new songs (from other albums) very enjoyable. I bought this CD because The Mason Williams Phonograph Record is not available on CD and my album is wearing out. The added benefit is that I get to hear all of the songs without having to turn the record over! I highly recommend this CD to all Mason Williams fans. It has something for everyone and his incredible range is represented well.
Old but still great
nice to have it on cd. Was a wonderful album. They left off the best
piece: " The Gift of Song ".
The Ultimate Mason Williams Collection
From the naughty Cowboy Buckaroo to the stunningly theological Godsend the music is captivating. A wonderful compilation of Mason Williams compostions. Godsend, a recipe to be the ultimate friend in need, is worth the price of the album. These 22 tracks are so different one from another; it is a joy to hear the cd time and again. Buy it!!
.
Be careful of "Classical Gas" on this compilation
I bought the album primarily for this song, so was disappointed that I will have to buy another one to get the orchestrated version. Anyone expecting the original version of "Classical Gas" (which was a hit on the radio in the late '60s) will be disappointed to find that this CD has an acoustic version of the song with a single guitar. That said, there is a lot of good material here, including "Largo De Luxe. " Williams wasn't much of a singer, and that is made amply clear by his attempts at vocalizing. When he sticks to his orchestral numbers, he is generally very good. .
