Latter day Jackie Wilson Live
The interview segments with Norm N. This is a good overview of Jackie's show circa early 70's. Nite is interesting but I wish the concert was uninterrupted. The bonus track is the x rated version of "Think Twice" is with LaVern Baker, not Maxine Brown and is worth the price of the cd alone. A must have for Jackie Wilson fans and anyone interested in classic soul music.
This is a reissue of an lp from the early eighties that was called "S. R. O. ", that did not include the track with LaVern Baker.
If you love Jackie...
. . you have to get this CD. The raunchy duet with Maxine Brown is reason enough, but there are also short interview segments between the pretty-good versions of many of his hits that reveal the warm and kind soul that he was. One of the least appreciated greats of music, as a singer and performer, Jackie Wilson is still missed.
