Enjoyable.
This single subsequently won awards in their native country Holland, both for Best Music Video and Best Live Performance of the song itself. Within Temptation's fourth EP release for "The Heart of Everything" focuses on their single "All I Need". Unfortunately the music video, which pays a nice hommage to "The Cell" movie, isn't included here. But, we get a couple of demos and a new track instead which make up for that.

First there is the title track in single and radio editions. They're not very much different from each other; but All I Need is such a calming song that it doesn't matter. This is one of WT's happier songs, proving that they don't just rely on the sadder emotions to carry their songs. It's one thing I enjoy about this band. They aren't afraid to experiment with their music or themes. They have more than one trick to pull, and they continually impress with their musical prowess.

Speaking of which, fans will be quite proud of the new track "The Last Time. " The keyboards are excellent and brought back in full force. The theme of the song is not allowing a person to enjoy garnering attention by playing the victim. I'm happy to say that it's tackled with a maturity that is very rare these days in these types of songs. This is also something I love about this band, they don't allow themselves to fall victim to the typical "woe is me" syndrome.

"You can blame and you can hide,
Behind what is wrong and what is right,
Life is the choices we make,
I hope you'll awake"

The song is powerful. It should strike a chord with anyone who has had to deal, or is dealing, with a person like that and the frustration of those around him/her.

The Frozen and Our Solemn Hour demos round out the album. Frozen is mostly the same; but the OSH demo is very different from the final cut. It's still well done of course. I only wish that I could understand the lyrics in the song, as it has been changed so much. But it's still fun to listen to.

I have not heard anything by this band that I am not happy with! I love the music, I love the intensity! Excellent listening.


Worth every cent.
A must have for every fan of rock music and within temptation. Love the band, love the album.
