Yardbirds Live at B.B. King club
Old tunes have a new flare to them. Old and new tunes are excellant. There new material fits right in with music today.


No Page, No Beck, no problem
This was recorded in a smaller venue and gives a good representation of what these guys sound like live nowdays. There are only two original members left here in the Yardbirds now but give them credit for adding new members who really fit in and carrying on. That sound is good old rock and blues that still sounds great today. Not only do they do the old gems you love but they mix in a few newer songs from their "Birdland" cd they put out a few years back. The guitar and harmonica interplay on here is fantastic and the vocals fit in perfectly. As the concert progresses the more these guys just flat out rock! If you used to be a Yardbirds fan give this cd a chance, I think you'll enjoy it. .


New Yardbirds, Smoking Hot
I usually don't like "live" CDs too often, they just don't live up to their studio performances and especially when the musicians aren't the original members! This CD kills- great sound, great performances, great songs! . I was really surprised how good this CD is.

THIS LIVE RECORDING WITH ONLY TWO ORIGINALS LEFT IS A VERY GOOD LIVE C D. THE YARDBIRDS HAVE BEEN AROUND A LONG TIME AND WITH MANY DIFFERENT LINE UPS. I WAS RELUCTANT TO BUY IT AT FIRST BECAUSE LIVE RELEASES CAN BE A DISASTER BUT THIS WAS A SURPRISE!I GUESS "THE YARDBIRDS" HAVE ALWAYS BEEN IN THEIR COMFORT ZONE WHEN PERFORMING LIVE AND THIS IS NO EXCEPTION. FIRST OFF THE RECORDING IS CRISP AND THE BAND DEMONSTATES THIS WITH ALL THE HITS SUCH AS FOR YOUR LOVE,BETTER MAN THAN I,TRAIN AND HEART FULL OF SOUL. IF YOUR A YARDBIRD FAN DEJA AND COMPANY ARE WORTH THE PURCHASE.


Over Under Kickin' Butt
South Lake Tahoe, is one of the current Band's favorite stops, and I'll be there when this Great Group returns here. I was lucky enough to attend a Show at the very end of the same Tour that this Recording is from.

The Yardbirds are BACK, and they meen business. This Combination of Players {Two Seasoned Veterans and Three Exciting New Players} is a Full on Force of: Blues/Rock,Pop Greatness!

With Ben King following in the steps of Clapton/Beck and Page, the Band is at a Peak, not seen in Concert since 1966. And this CD is the Document of just what they now do every night on Stages around the World.
This is NO Tribute Band, it's The Real Deal. . . The Yardbirds are back, and they DO put on a Great Show!

From the Opener: "Train Kept a Rollin' thro to; "Happenings 10 Years Time Ago", the Great Classics are mixed with New Tunes. And here are 19 reasons of why anyone who has seen the Current Band is Raving about these Guys.

No, this isn't the Full Concert (That would take 2 CD's) but it is more than a Sampler of their Show. And it is the best Blues and Rock played with absolute Fire, that I have heard in years. Rock is Dead they say, Long Live Rock. . . Great Band, Great CD !!!.
