This is it, Dwight's BEST!
I love all his albums, but it seems like every song here is a keeper. I agree with many others that this is probably Dwight's best work. I only wish that I could find this on vinyl somewhere. . . . I just picked up both "Hillbilly Deluxe" and "Guitars" on vinyl. Is this one available on record at all?.

Tomorrow's Sounds Today
Dwight once again shines with his awesome creative abilities of songwriting and carrying the songs out with perfection! Definitely worth buying!.

Yesterday's sound, and it's great
The style of the music is more like taking a step back into the days of Buck that served as Dwight's inspiration. I'm not sure I get the name of the album, but I love it regardless. Dwight hasn't redefined country music with this album, but rather has refined the old style. This music is great and I think it shows how much Dwight values the roots of country music. There is no doubt that these songs are distinctly Dwight, but at the same time, they are fairly unique to most of his other albums. Fantastic stuff!.

The Definition of a Great Country Record
The songwriting on this record is top-notch, every single time I listen to it I'm amazed. I would say that this album is Dwight's masterpiece but that would take away from nearly all his other records which are brilliant as well. The depth of the lyrics contained here aren't found in todays popcorn country, Dwight truly stands alone as one of the greats. His vocals are spectacular as always and his band is damn near flawless. Its hard to pick a favorite song because every track on this album is just so damn satisfying to listen to when you get a hankering for some real country music. Dwight Yoakam is the real deal, he always has been and Tomorrows Sounds Today is a testament to that.

Powerful Album, Tomorrow and Today
My least favorite of these gems is probably "For Love's Sake," but even that is good. This album is totally Dwight, meaning totally unique and awesome!! This man does not put out anything other than great music! I mean, you've got Dwight's stellar songwriting and singing, plus the legendary Buck Owens on a couple of tracks, and accordion playing by Flaco Jimenez for goodness sakes! From the opening track to the very end, this album is a classic. And it's hard to pick, but (today anyway) my favorite song is "A World of Blue," followed closely by all the rest! .
