Blame the Vain
I think this is one of Dwight's best albums. every cut is awesome! He is so multifaceted with his ability to sing any genre of music.
.

High standards, as usual
And this recent production is no exception. Has Dwight Yoakam ever laid an egg? Not that I know of. He experiments with a little production fiddle-faddle on a few songs, with some sound effects and weird sounds etc. But all the great tunes soon settle into that classic Yoakam sound. The lyrics are top notch. Add this one to your Dwight Yoakam shelf without fear.

His best work
It has a very fresh, very edgy sound, which goes beyond his prior music. This album never got much air time on the country stations, which is a real shame, because it is one of Dwight's very best albums. To me, the stand-out tune on this one is "Intentional Heartache", which mixes somewhat tongue-in-cheek revenge sound lyrics with a driving beat and a very compelling sound. This is the album that I have listened to the most of all of Dwight's work; it is fabulous.

LOving it as usual
Had some very nice songs on here. .
I recommend this album all the way
Nice picture also.

I can't get this CD out of my car!
I finally bought this CD, my first Dwight Yoakam purchase. I never thought of myself as a Dwight Yoakam fan, but I loved the song and video for Intentional Heartache. It will NOT be my last. I have had this CD in my rotation for several weeks. I never tire of it and today I played The Last Heart to Know about 5 times straight. It's just hauntingly beautiful. This guy has incomparable talent and is a true original. I now count myself as one of his diehard fans! Rock on!.
