One of the best records EVER Their live shows were always a blast and their songs are genius. These guys were fantastic. This is one of their best!.
oh man
The Young Fresh Fellows are the best thing that ever happened to me.
The Lost Art ( a record with good songs on it )
Tunes such as Taco Wagon, Lost track of all Time and Carrot Head. This album contains a few of the gems I like to use when I try to lure poeple into becoming 'Fellows" fans. . . . classics
Admittedly I was crushed when Chuck (Guitarist) left the band, but Kurt (Replacement Guitarist) of the Seattle fame Fastbacks does solid and not entirely disruptive work on this record. After a few listens it's just impossible to not love this album as a whole picture from the Fellows last phase. At the time this record came out most of the hard core fans knew the fellows were nearing the end of there long and productive run and this record serves as a solid knee to the balls and says, "We have a few unbelievably cool records left, ok so relax".
The last great Young Fresh Fellows album
Kurt Bloch kept the Fastbacks going after this, Scott McCaughey would go on to REM and Minus 5, and the group as a whole would keep making records (some of which, like Electric Bird Digest, had some great moments on them, eg. This, YFF's 5th studio recording, represents the last true breath of genius from the world's greatest unknown rock band. "Hillbilly Drummer Girl"), but this was the last completely brilliant, no-filler CD. Check this out and you'll be humming and singing these songs forever!.
