Zappa is my hero
Not only is the music great on Halloween but the 5. This is a great live album. 1 mix just adds on a new dimension. You really feel like you are part of the audience and are totally immersed in the music.
I always use the track Zeet to demonstrate my sourround sound system to friends.
And if all this is not enough, there are two videos as well to enjoy.

good document
However, I think that the quality of the recordings has really reached its peak with zappa's own choices (and as far as live recordings are concerned, with the late live albums and former scarce inclusions on studio ones). Provided all frank zappa designed material has been released yet, each and every carefully produced new document fills a gap in our knowledge of his works. Therefore, it's maybe unfortunately pointless to look for another perfect version of one tune or the other. But to the "hard-core" fanatic, this recording might be of a greater significance than, for instance, FZ:OZ. The recording itself is better. The group is interesting in its composition and sound. The Dvd has some files (videos and recordings) which offers delightful insights into zappa's performer side. So.

Brilliant Masterpiece
The mix is absolutely perfect, the audience noise gives you that "being there" feeling and Franks guitar tone is flawless. Great recording of a brilliant artist. This disc is worth the price for the Black Napkins/Deathless Horsie guitar solo alone. But don't overlook the solo on Muffin Man either, Franks guitar is on overload on this one. Hey Dweezil, keep 'em coming.
