Customer Reviews Quadiophilism The sound quality is better then advertised. This sonic document is quite fine. I play it on my desk top calculator which is setup with Ceative SB X-fi sound washed through 7. 1 surround. The audio statement is as good as any of the DVD projects I own. This is saying much since it was served up from 1970-1978. The musical testimonies are a varied history of Zappa's bands and moods ranging from completely experimental to gutteral displays of voyreuristic verbal ejectamenta to just plain good old American fun! The musical participants on display here are the cream of the crop and portray as much. I am compelled to make a mention of the power of 2, Dweezil and the Vaultmeister. I am of the opinion that there are only 2 teams of 2 that are able to resurect music to this level: Dweezil Zappa and Joe Travers (The Vaultmeister) for the Utility Research Muffin Kitchen and Robert Fripp and David Singleton for Discpline Global Mobile. Sweet. . must have 5.1 to enjoy Mostly mixed by Z in mid-70s, greatly ahead of his time. Great stuff, ahead of its time, mostly unreleased. Must have killer sound system for the DTS 5. 1 mix and its DVD-audio only. Great, but.... Great idea digging up Frank Zappa's quad mixes, but where is the things that people want to hear at? Don't get me wrong, I absolutly love Frank, and miss him terribly, but I know there is some stuff in his vaults that would all make our faces melt! Of course I bought this. . why wouldn't I, but the ZFT must release something with a bit more bite to it. .
