Customer Reviews
A guitar genius
The music he released between '71-'76 is in my opinion his best work. I have to admit that I am quite bias to this album since Frank Zappa is my favorite artist of all time.

This album, coined as the Petite Wazoo, was recorded live in '72. The horn section put together for this short stretch of touring is incredible.

The title track will blow you away. The track "Montreal" is also a real delite to listen to. Do yourself a favor and pick this up if you already haven't. You will also need the latest release "Wazoo" which is the full 20-piece band from '72 in a 2-disc format.

Frank Zappa hands down is a guitar god!.

oh them diseases
a great band on the top of its game. a fantastic find in the vault.
i'm a huge fan of zappa's jazz-rock period that involved hot rats, wazoo, waka-jawaka. and this stuff is just bitchin'. the title track has been listened to more times than i'm proud of admitting to, and i keep coming back. the horns, the fills, the solos, the arrangements, all fantastic and beautiful zappa.

Whisperin' Breezes
The last track has some very bad static issues which is probably why the man never released this track, being the perfectionist he was. Sheeeeesh, I don't know what to say other than if you are a fan of FZ's instrumental works then you will pee on yourself like I just did after the first listen of this fantastic disc. This disc has the best tuba (?) solo I have ever heard followed by a drum solo that may have now become my new all time favorite. Lots of good quitar and a really nice blend of the rock and jazz sides of FZ. What a nice surprise from a guy who I thought was gone - he ain't. .
