Waste of Cash.
So you get one edited track! Count it, 1. Why did they bother to make an Edited version of Hellbilly Deluxe? The only swears are on the Song the Ballad of Resurrection Joe and Rosa Whore, which here is just titled the Ballad of Resurrection Joe. Also the artwork is screwed around with. The Pentagram and the x on Rob's Forehead are removed, as well as artwork in the sleeve and no lyrics are given. The skull and Crossbones along the side are also gone. I purchased this by mistake a long time ago because it wasn't clearly labeled as a clean CD. that only infuriates me even more. This Edit is absolutely pointless and most of all, Stupid. .

A True Rock Monster!!!
His music revolves around blood & guts, corpses, decomposition, and of course, zombies. Rob Zombie is a true rock monster! His style of music isn't for all tastes, and the lyrics might be offensive to some people. Songs like Superbeast, Dragula, Demonoid Phenomenon, and Return Of the Phantom Stranger are excellent when played LOUD!!! I would encourage any hardcore metal fan to purchase the uncensored version of this CD, and NOT the edited version. You'll get a 24 page booklet with song lyrics and shocking comic-like photos. Even on the explicit version, Rob Zombie doesn't use much profanity. But he still jams in his own unique style of 'death' metal.

Quality Horror Rock
Everyone knows he rocks. I think Rob Zombie has become a household word. He's got fans ranging from black clad goths, head bangers, normal kids, even posers (unfortunately). He's one of the best theatrical rock acts out there, taking much influence from Alice Cooper. This, his debut is a wonderfully eccentric and experimental album. Many people simply call Zombie "Metal", but Metal is only one influence. There are industrial, electro, gothic, psychadellic, acid rock, rockabilly, and soundtrack elements as well. I don't think people give Zombie enough credit for being so experimental. Anyway, for those who think he is some kind of devil worshipping, evil destroyer of the souls of America's youth, I say this: I myself am a Christian. It irks me when I see pastors of all people going out and giving Christianity a bad name. DO you think people will even listen to you when you come out and attack offensively like this? The same goes for those protesting Marilyn Manson's concerts. Rob Zombie is not a satanist. If you don't see the tongue-in-cheek humor and irony in his lyrics, you're just blind. You might as well be protesting every horror movie and every halloween party that will ever be attended by our "mislead youth". It's all good, clean, spooky fun. Nothing more! Like I said, I'm a christian and I do not find anything subversive, satanic, or truly "evil" in this music at all. Just creepy, b-movie inspired rock & roll, and I think it's alot of fun. So stop putting more kids off to Christianity! Rob Zombie rocks!
Alice Cooper (who has been openly christian for 10 years now) thinks so too.

Zombies...
com. Out of all of the reviews I've read, the one that disappoints me the most is by gesusaves@aol. Dude, you're preaching to us, over the Net! I don't see why you have to go and attack Rob Zombie's music like that. Tunes like "Meet the Creeper," "Superbeast," "Dragula," and "Living Dead Girl" are sweet pieces of modern music. Rob Zombie hails from White Zombie(as many of you know) and has helped pioneer the industrial/techno metal movement, along with the boys from Ministry, Orgy, Static-X, along with his little bro Spider from PM5K. That is his title. To call him 'an unholy soul' and PREACH about the evils of listening to his music is just not right. I don't know why in the hell Amazon would even publish your review. You didn't tell anybody about the music, genius! You should also be aware that many in the country don't share your faith, so you should not be reading out of your Book to discourage us. C'mon, this is just music! I think his lyrics are funny and thought-provoking, and besides, what Rob believes in is his business, not ours. He, unlike you, is not preaching his beliefs to the world. He is making good music for good people. I don't think your intent had anything to even do with the music at all. You probably didn't even listen to the CD. Why else would you sound so naive? Or CLEARLY indicate that you just HAPPEN to be a reverend? Yikes! So, anyway, for all you true listeners to good metal music, check this CD out, and also keep an eye for Sinister Urge when it comes out. Peace!.

Best Edited CD Out There
His music is the bomb. This CD Rocks. my favorite somgs are Superbeast, Dragula, Living Dead Girl, Meet The Creeper, and The Ballad of Ressurection Joe and Rosa Whore. the guy talking how Rob is of the devil should know that religeous people would veer away from Rob and not even comment on him while others could listen to him.
