Original Mix Is Intact, As It Is On Reissues Of TRES HOMBRES And FANDANGO
This album was three years in the making, and featured the debut of ZZ Top's long beards, as well as one of the last examples of the band's pure blues-rock sound and style for many years. The original mix of DEGUELLO is intact on the original CD issue, whereas it had to be restored on TRES HOMBRES and FANDANGO! in order to make those CDs enjoyable. This CD is a must-own for any fan of rootsy rock & roll.


BAD NATIONWIDE
before MTVand ELIMINATOR there was ZZ TOP like this. listening to this is like listening to a greatest hits cd. all ZZ TOP cd's are good,but this is their best.


Unremastered ZZ Top at its best
No remixed or rerecorded tracks, no extra reverb, no "Afterburner" style fuzz tone. When compiling (and altering) the back catalog for the ZZ Top: Six Pack back in 1987, they skipped over Degüello - and left it alone. This is ZZ Top in all their 1979 glory! This 1990 release might not have the catchphrase "remastered" but the mastering job is just fine - so don't hesitate to pick this up this CD.


last good album
saw them live at the waterbury palace theatre after it came out excellent show. deguello is the texas trios last good album. the best i ever saw them. unfortunatly the albums after this one were awful mtv turned them into cartoon characters what a waste.

Haveing a big party and want to blast some tunes but can't decide what cd to put on. . this is that cd.
