Long time fan
Not sure how I missed this one. I had thought I collected all the albums.

ZZ Top comes back heavy!

Slick guitar riffs and heavy drums make up the title track, "Rhythmeen", while a slower but more detailed "Vincent Price Blues" allows for some fantastic slow-down blues riffs. After many people bashed ZZ Top's use of the electric drumset and techno sounds in their 80's, they've decided to break it up a bit with some real heavy guitar riffs and some nasty riffs that you'll remember the rest of the day.

This is one of ZZ Top's best releases to date, and by far is one album I have not gotten tired of listening to. Buy it, enjoy it, and remember that ZZ Top is famous for a reason - they deliver, and they deliver well.

ZZZo good

Hector R. It was great I Love ZZ Tops music. Uriarte Jr.

texas rock at its best
this underappreciated and radio-less masterpiece showcases billy gibbons' guitar work from start to finish. zz top's hardest rocking album. from the opening riffs of the title song, to the lethal jamming on vincent price blues, this album is for real zz top fans. thankfully, with no 80's era keyboards seeing the light of day here, the boys stick to what they know best: sizzling southern rock. with humor, zz top even covers a sex change on my personal favorite, zipper job. drinking, as always, is joyously celebrated on loaded, and the album ends strong with billy rocking on hummbucking part II. always a sign of a great album - when the last song ends you grab another beer and start playing it again. this is rhythmeen.

Incredible album
As you listen to this CD the songs just keep getting better and better. Great songwriting, playing and mix. Back to their roots with bluesy guitar licks and a heavy sound. Most of these songs could be released as singles they are that good. Billy's tone is out of this World and he's got some great riffs and some tricks. Great slide. His voice is so cool. The lyrics are out of this World, as well. How many bands can write a song like "Vincent Price Blues" and get away with it? About a Cantina on the Mexican border which has a ghost of Vincent Price. Great song. My favorite song is "Hairdresser" which has fantastic lyrics and a mean mix of slide guitar. CD should have been nominated for a Grammy. One of my favorite albums.
