Yet another book from one of the top heavy metal writers, Joel McIver. He is working for several music magazines and have a huge back catalogue of books. It is not possible to write a list like this without stepping on a lot of toes, and the list presented in this book is a one man work only. My guess is that he has received many e-mails with complaints from readers already. I will not do that; I will not concentrate on the list at all but on the content and information about each guitarist.

There are 100 really good heavy metal guitarists in this book, all well presented with band info, style info and equipments. I didn’t read the book from page one but started as I guess most people will do at the end to see who is at number one. I will not tell you who it is, but what I can tell you for sure is that this book is a good read for guitar players into metal. You will not be a better player, nor will you be smarter or smell better, but you will be entertained.
Looking forward to see many of the other books McIver will release in the future.
