Name: Dreams

Artists: Allman Brothers

Transcribed by: Jason Yankee

Note: This is all my own work.

Note: This song is played in 3/4, 6/4 or 6/8 time.

Those time signatures are basically the same thing.

The bass lines goes like this:

D note, C note, A note.... over and over

Play the Bass line for the left hand on the keyboard

part.

Play these chords over the bass line:

C 6 chord, D 7 chord

or

C 6 chord, F # diminished chord

The break in the song uses these chords:

G 7 chord, F 7 chord, E 7 chord

repeat.

Note: For the E 7 chord you might want to play three

different inversions of it in a row (keyboard only).

The solo is played using the D major scale with a

b 5. Here is that scale: D, E, F #, G, A, B, C, D

D0, LE0, LE2, LE3, LE5, LE7, LE8, A5, A7, D4, D5, D7,

G4, G5, G7, B5, B7, B8, HE5, HE7, HE8, HE10, HE12,

HE14, HE15, HE17, HE19, HE20, HE22

The solo stays within the scale. If you know the scale

then you can figure out the solo. The solo also

probably uses a slide.

The final break: (Play a D7 in the background)

Note: For the D7 chord in the final break you might

want to try to play 4 different inversions of it

(keyboard only).

F # note, G note, F# note, E note, D note, E note,

D note, C note, B note, C note, B note,

A note, G note, F # note, D note

Here are some chords defined:

C 6 chord - C note, E note, G note, A note

D 7 chord - D note, F # note, A note, C note

F # diminished chord - F # note, A note, C note

G 7 chord - G note, B note, D note, F note

F 7 chord - F note, A note, C note, E b note

E 7 chord - E note, G # note, B note, D note

chords:

This is how I play the break:

G 7 chord - 3 5 3 4 3 3

F 7 chord - 1 3 1 2 1 1

E 7 chord - 0 2 2 1 3 0 or 0 2 0 1 0 0 or
