Subject: b/barenaked_ladies/war_on_drugs.crd WAR ON DRUGS by Barenaked Ladies from Everything to Everyone Transcribed by Chris Roughley (c.roughley@blueyonder.co.uk) Any e-mail comments should have "OLGA" in the subject-line. Standard tuning. Capo 1st, chords relative to capo. Just the chords that make up the song. There're arpeggios and stuff, but I'm too lazy to tab those for now. Sounds good on an acoustic. The chords sound best struck once and then left to ring during the verse, and strummed in eighth-notes for the chorus, and the verses starting "They put a net there...", "They say that Jesus...", and "For The very fear...". Just play around. Chords (for those who can't be bothered to learn them, like some of my friends...(ALAN!)) A A1 Bm D D1 E F#m 0--X--2--2--X--0--2 2--2--3--3--3--0--2 2--2--4--2--2--1--2 2--2--4--0--0--2--4 0--0--2--x--0--2--4 X--X--X--X--X--0--2 Intro: A1 D1 A1 D1 A1 D1 E1 Verse: A D She likes ... radio on. E A So she can ... favourite song. F#m Bm E The ... has ever ... she was small. A D She'll never ... made it up. E A She had ... ate it up. F#m Bm E Thrown ... paper cup ... the music falls. Chorus: F#m Bm Won't it be dull... E Rid... A E F#m All these demons haunting us, Bm E To keep us company? Song-pattern: Intro Verse Verse Chorus Verse Chorus Chorus Verse Verse Chorus Chorus Verse That's it for now. Possibly a tab of some of the other guitar bits when I get around to it.
