"Riders on the Storm" by the Doors. Studio Version. Transcribed by FMW3. intro repeat several times (body of song) G---------------------------||----------------------------|| D---2-----------------------||*--------------------------*|| A------2-----2-----0--4--0--||*-----2-----2-----0--4--0--*|| E---------3-----0-----------||---0-----3-----0------------|| unto this land we're born... into this world we're thrown.. G--------------------------------------------------------------- D----------------------------------------2---------------------- A---0-0---/12-12---0-0---10/12-10/12--------2-----2-----0--4--0- E----------------------------------------------3-----0---------- like a dog without a bone... G-------------------------------------------------------- D---------------------------12--12--12--12--12-10-10--- A------2-----2-----0--4--0------------------------------- E---0-----3-----0---------------------------------------- riders on the storm... repeat several times (body) G---||--------------------------||--------------------------|| D---||*--2----------------------||*------------------------*|| A---||*-----2-----2-----0--4--0-||*---2-----2-----0--4--0--*|| E---||---------3-----0----------||-0-----3-----0------------|| This song definitely has one of the best bass grooves around. This transcription is only inacurate at the part where Jim sings "unto this land were born", the part that slides from 10 to 12 on the A string. It is very hard to pick up from the album, but I'm sure that you can improvise that part along the guidline that I left you...remember, its no fun to play a song exactly the same way every time. The rest of my transcription is 99.9% acurate, it's just a matter of repeating the different bars according to the song.
