>LIKE THE WAY I DO<
Melissa Etheridge : TAB of INTRO :

Intro is played on acoustic guitar …
Those are actually basic, simple chords, but … still it is not easy to play
this intro correct and with absolutely clean fingering. Gotta practise …

First chord : Dm7 :
LH : index finger over two strings . middle.f. on G.strg - pinkie hammeron
Second chord :
Bb add9 : index.f barre over 5strings and mf+rf+pinkie on 3rd fret

 H.O. = hammer on
 x - x = muted rhythm chaka-chaka sound (every x is a sixteenth note)
 R = means >rest< … R is a sixteenth space without any new sound

RH : the right hand goes down-up down-up in 16th notes -
like a disco whaka-chaka thing …

TAB : [intro] 4/4 time

               Dm

                e -1-----1--1-----1--x-1-x-1--x-1-x-1-|
                B -3-----1--1-x-x-1--x-3-x-3--x-1-x-1-|
                G -2-----2--2-x-x-2--x-2-x-2--x-2-x-2-|

                A ------------------------------------|
                E ------------------------------------|

quarter notes : 1 2 3 4

               Dm
		   H.O.
                e -1-----1--1-----1--x-1-x-1--x-1-x-1-|
                B -1-3---1--1-x-x-1--x-3-x-3--x-1-x-1-|
                G -2-----2--2-x-x-2--x-2-x-2--x-2-x-2-|
                D -0---R-0--0-x-x-0--x-0-x-0--x-0-x-0-|
                A ------------------------------------|

quarter notes : 1 2 3 4

(LH : left index finger remains over those two strings)

             Bb (add9)

                e -1-----1--1-----1--x-1-x-1--x-1-x-1-|
                B -3-----1--1-x-x-1--x-3-x-3--x-1-x-1-|
                G -3-----3--3-x-x-3--x-3-x-3--x-3-x-3-|
                D -3-R-R-3--3-x-x-3--x-3-x-3--x-3-x-3-|
                A ------------------------------------|
                E ------------------------------------|
sixteenth : ^ . . . ^ ^ ^
quarter notes : 1 2 3 4

               Bb (add9)
(hammer on of pinkie - thats hard here …)
		H.O.
                e -1-----1--1-----1--x-1-x-1--x-1-x-1-|
                B -3-----1--1-x-x-1--x-3-x-3--x-1-x-1-|
                G -3-----3--3-x-x-3--x-3-x-3--x-3-x-3-|
                D -3-R-R-3--3-x-x-3--x-3-x-3--x-3-x-3-|
                A ------------------------------------|
                E ------------------------------------|
sixteenth : ^ . . . ^ ^ ^
quarter notes : 1 2 3 4

but - hey - thats it … thats the intro … then you repeat
the Dm7 line and the Bb add) line - and you hit the C chord
on the last 16th of the Bb bar.
