I play this loop with Capo 2nd fret and play C(D) shape and Dm7(Em7)shape on a 12string

After a while you can pick out the classic rhymical tune for the intro and then just
chord it (if you are singing), otherwise get your mate to do the tune open for a
couple of bars bofore you come in with the C

  C Dm7
Poor Old Grandad, I laughed at all his words

    C
I thought he was, a bitter man

     Dm7
 He spoke of women's ways............

good luck- comments very welcome

also if you can manage to get a couple of notes out of a Harmonica (D Major), it blends
brilliantly for the piano bit.

Cheers

Chris
