Date: Sun, 25 Sep 2005 10:54:57 -0400 From: Ian Marquis Subject: f/fake/static.tab "Static" by Fake? From the album "Breathe In" (2002) Tablature by Ian Marquis ian.marquis@umit.maine.edu Not a bad song at all....and it's incredibly easy. Tuning: Drop C# (Db Ab Db Gb Bb eb) Intro / Verse: (there are two portions to this part of the song...rhythm and lead. Repeat both for all of the intro / verse). |------------------------------------------| |--12b14r12----12b14r12----12b14r12b14r12--| |------------------------------------------| |------------------------------------------| |------------------------------------------| |------------------------------------------| |----------------------| |----------------------| |--2-----2-------------| |--2--2--2----4-----4--| |--0--0--0----4--4--4--| |-------------4--4--4--| Breakdown (of sorts): (again, rhythm and lead parts...just listen to it for timing...and repeat the lead over the rhythm, letting the notes ring out). |----------------| |--10-----12b----| |------9---------| |----------------| |----------------| |----------------| |------------------------| |------------------------| |--7----9-------------7--| |--7----9----4--------7--| |--5----7----4--------5--| |------------4-----------| The lead portion from the breakdown carries over into the next verse for a few measures, then the normal lead pattern returns. The verse and breakdown come again, then it's time for the: Chorus: (just strum these chords, listening to the song for the timing...it's pretty standard stuff). |-------------------------|--------------------------| |-------------------------|--------------------------| |--2-------------------7--|--2---------7--4----7--4--| |--2----4----0----4----7--|--2----4----7--4----7--4--| |--0----4----0----4----5--|--0----4----5--2----5--2--| |-------4----0----4-------|-------4------------------| And the rest, as usual, is the above repeated and rearranged. I'm going to take a shower, so that's all for now.
