Date: Wed, 21 Jun 2006 14:57:37 +0200 From: pfarget Subject: g/genesis/i_know_what_i_like.crd Genesis - I know what I like (in your wardrobe) >From the album Selling England by the Pound (1973) Transcribed by Philippe Farget - pfarget@free.fr It is well known that at this time, with a dandy attitude, Genesis avoided to write "hits", but this song was (nearly) one, at least the first (and only one, I guess) single to be in the charts before the Collins era. About the "Gabriel vs. Collins" eternal war, the best presentation of the conflict is made by Brett Easton Ellis (American Psycho). The psycho-yuppy Pat Bateman chooses of course Collins side, with hilarious arguments. Back to the song : Short, with a few chords (compared for instance with The Lamia, more than 40 chords), it is pretty simple. But in spite of this (or because of it ?), you cannot find any tabs on the web. In fact, there is no guitar in this song, only a sitar riff. So here is my adaptation for guitar. Sorry for mistakes, and thanks for corrections. pfarget@free.fr (4/4) VERSES E|-0---0---0---0---| B|-2---3---2---0---| G|-2---2---2---2---| D|-2---2---2---2---| A|-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-| E|-----------------| That's basically it.
