Date: Sun, 5 Oct 2003 12:39:58 +0200 (CEST) From: "[iso-8859-1] Nicolas Berry" Subject: h/harper_ben/homeless_child.tab Artist: BEN HARPER Song : Homeless Child Album: The Will to Live Tabbed by: nicolasberry@yahoo.fr This song is kind of a tribute to old acoustic country blues. The steady hypnotic rhythm is just based on 2 or 3 riffs and it should work really well if you can play along with a drummer. First, you have to get the right tuning : open C tuning (from low to high : CGCGCE ^Ö the same tuning that ^Óground on down^Ô) and put that good ol^Ò bottleneck on your little finger. You can play that song with the guitar on your knees, as Ben does if you prefer, so you will have to handle the slide in a different manner... I think this song is played with (almost) one string (!), so I tried to tab it note for note but you can pick up some riffs and play around it just to get some real cool blues sounds! You don^Òt have to learn each note to make it sounds great. Just use it to improve your blues technique and make your own music! Listen to the CD to get the rhythm. That^Òs all my own work. Ok now, let^Òs go : Intro: Part.1 : E|--------------------------------------------------------- C|---------------------------------------------------------
