Violet by Hole
 From Live Through This

Transcription by Anthony Tong

Well, here's my second attempt.. the first one I send a few months back
was 'slightly' screwed up. Sorry that I took so long to fix it.

Anyway,

 - Intro/Verse ('And the sky was made of..')
E x 7 9 9 9 7
C x 3 5 5 5 3
G 3 5 5 4 3 3
or, I prefer to play open chords instead, which sounds
better (at least to me) though probably not as correct
 E 0 1 2 2 0 0 <- try not to play bass strings
 C x 3 2 0 1 0
 G 3 2 0 0 3 3

 - Verse 2 ('When I get, what I want..')
E x 7 9 9 9 7
C x 3 5 5 5 3
D x 5 7 7 7 5
A 5 7 7 6 5 5

 - Pre-Chorus? Chorus? ('My Inspirator..')
E 0 2 2 1 x x
F 1 3 3 2 x x
G 3 5 5 4 x x

 - Chorus ('Go, take everything')
	(one octave higher than pre-chorus)
E5 x 7 9 9 x x x 7 9 9 x x
F5 x 8 10 10 x x or x x 3 5 6 x
G5 x 10 12 12 x x x x 5 7 8 x
F5 x 8 10 10 x x x x 3 5 6 x
from what I can see in the video, I think Eric plays the chords on the
left and Courtney plays the chords on the right

 - Weird verse w/ feedback
 It's basically a variation of the verse2 with C# (x 4 6 6 6 4),
 and B (x 2 4 4 4 2) put in there somewhere
 with feedback in the background
  eg. it starts off w/ E, C#, C, C#, D, B, A..

 - Outro
I'm VERY VERY UNSURE about the below.. don't say that I didn't warn you!
e -----------------------------------------
B -----------------------------------------
G --4~~-6h7---4~~-6h7---4~~-6h7---7--9--8--
D -----------------------------------------
A -----------------------------------------
E -----------------------------------------

Well, I've spend a bit more time on this one.. if there are still major
problems with this, send me mail. If anyone else has the outro, PLEASE
post it!

"Violet" from Hole's "Live Through This"
Intro:
these are the 2 bar chords used in the song:
1------1 and 1------1
  34 34
we'll call the 1st one 1 and the 2nd 2

the difference is that on the first, your 3rd and fourth fingers are on the
4th and 5th strings, while on the 2nd your fingers are on the 3rd and 4th
strings. I'll give you the chord #( 1 or 2) and the fret #.
example: 1-4 would mean to play the 1st chord on the fourth fret. Got it?

here we go:

Intro:

2-7, 2-3, 1-3
keep repeating until after, "you should learn how to say no!", then you play:
E chord, 1-1, 1-3

"When you get what you want.."
E chord, 2-3, 2-5, 1-5

"Go on take everything"
E-chord, 2-3, 2-5

"I told you from the start, just how this would end"
same as "When you get what you want"

After this, it's just the other parts again, I forget which order. But mess
around with it and you'll get it.
