Date: Mon, 27 Oct 2003 10:01:12 -0500 From: KerMonURED@netscape.net Subject: i/interpol/nyc.tab Band: Interpol Song: NYC Album: Turn on the Bright Lights (Matador Records) www.interpolny.com Arrangemenmt ============ Very simple to play the rhythm, the lead part towards the end is tough on the wrists. This is an acoustic arrangement but the chords are correct and I'm fairly sure the lead is, so it can be altered for a more, uh, interpolly arrangement. In my opinion it works very well like this. Rhythm ===== F: x33210 C: 332010 I'd suggest you don't hit the e string at all until the bass or drums come in; it lends more depth to the song. Also sounds more authentic as this is how Interpol play it on Turn on the Bright Lights; giving a cool two guitar sound. Lead ==== E ---------------------------------------------- A ---------------------------------------------- D ---------------------------------------------- G -12-13-13-13-13-13-13-13-17-17-13-13-13------- B ---------------------------------------------- e ---------------------------------------------- The amount of strokes indicated in the above tab is by no means precise, but if you play it you should be able to hear what I'm suggesting. Basically pick the single string as fast as you can to create the wobbling effect in the song. This is just a "wutevr" general idea of what is played; you can play it and match the notes with the song or improvise your own. JUST LIEK IN TEH PROS! The End ======= If you have any comments or queries and whatnot, do send me an e-mail. kermonured at netscape dot net. Tabbed by Spike.
