From: Rambled77@aol.com Date: Tue, 6 Apr 1999 00:50:12 EDT Subject: k/korn/freak_on_a_leash.tab "Freak on a Leash" Korn >From "Follow the Leader" Transcribed by G. Katz As are most Korn songs, this is just a whole bunch of riffs glued together. I'll explain which figures go where in a second. NOTE: The original version of "Freak" is played on a seven string, so I did the honor of transposing it for maximum ease of play on a six. For this reason, the song is NOT in the original key. Plus, it's originally on two guitars, but can easily be played on one. Figure one (Intro and verse): Gtr. 1: e----------------7---------------------- B-------5-----------------6------------ G--------------------------------------- D--------------------------------------- A---------------------------------------- E---------------------------------------- Gtr. 2 (Slightly after Gtr. 1): e---0----3------0--------------------- B-------------------------------------- G-------------------------------------- D-------------------------------------- A-------------------------------------- E--------------------------------------- Fig. two (hit the E string really hard, the A string lightly): e--------------------------------------- B--------------------------------------- G--------------------------------------- D--------------------------------------- A------5-6-5-0-5------6-7-6---5-6-7-8 E------5-6-5-0-5------6-7-6---5-6-7-8 Fig. three (hit the E string really hard, the A string lightly): e--------------------- B--------------------- G--------------------- D--------------------- A6-7-6---5-6-7-8 E6-7-6---5-6-7-8 Barre the following chords for Fig. four (see chorus): A C D Fig. five (During Jonathan's ad lib): e-0-0--13-13--0----13-13-12-13-12-13 Fig. six (The "guitar solo:" play with tons of distortion): Barre: E F F# G Now here's how it goes: Intro: Fig. 1 (2x) Verse 1: Fig. 1 Fig.1 Fig. 1 Fig.1 Verse 2: Fig. 1 Fig. 1 Fig. 1 Fig. 1 Bridge: Fig. 2 Fig. 3 Fig. 2 Fig. 3 Chorus: A C D A C D A C D A C D Then there's a nifty bass riff that you can play without distortion: E---5-4-3-2 Verse 3: Fig. 1 Fig. 1 Fig. 1 Fig.1 Bridge Chorus Ad-lib: Drums umm na na umm na na ema umm na na umm na na ema Fig. five umm na na umm na na ema Fig. five umm na na umm na na ema GO!
