Subject: l/lavigne_avril/losing_grip.crd Song: Losing Grip Artist: Avril Lavigne Album: Let go Tabbed by: Oliver. This is all my own work. This is a pretty cool song by Avril and her army of producers. If you play the basic chords and ignore the extensions you can get it sounding reasonably close to her version. But what makes it sound intersting is the way it's instrumented. Everyond tunes down a fret to give it a really heavy bottom (unlike Avril's), and the bass probably has a fifth string. The open g and b strings in the F chord add flavor to the mellow parts. With some exotic vocal melodies and hip lyrics, it all melds into a brilliant package of power-pop perfection! Tune down one fret.
