The Outdoor Type by The Lemonheads written by Tom Morgan
>From the album Car, Button, Cloth. All of These Things Sank.

I noticed this one was missing from the archive (at least in the album version), and it's one of my favourite Lemonheads songs and great to play, so I thought I'd share my interpretation, in repayment for all the times I've found 'that elusive chord in the middle 8' with help from this site.

The song is in the key of D, but I reckon the best way to play it is by capoing the guitar at fret #2 and playing in C.

Intro (and main chord pattern)
C / C(b) / Am / Am (x2 on lead guitar and bass only)

Verse 1 (lead and bass)

C C(b) Am Am
Always roof always rent.
C C(b) Am Am
And never foot tent.
F G C C(b) Am
Can't fire save my life.
  F G F C
I lied being outdoor type.

Repeat intro chords (with rhythm guitar and drums)

Verse 2 (same chords as V1)

I never slept out...

Solo over intro chords

Bridge

Em Am
Too let...
    F G
You knew looking
   Em Am
I lied fit
    F G
God bless indoors.
  F G C C(b) Am
I lied being outdoor type
F
Never ...
                     G
                 ... bike.

Solo over intro chords

Verse 3 (rhythm change (break down) on first two lines)

F G C C(b) Am
Never swim beard even fight
  F G F C
I lied about being the outdoor type.

This tab is all my own work.

Now all we need is someone more patient than me to tab out the lead lines...
