Here are two versions of the song. The first is close to the recorded
version- I'm sure they capo on II and play the F#m as:

B-5
G-6
D-4
A-4
E-2

The notes at II are capoed - the others are fingered.
The chord is finger-picked- listen to the recording for the pattern.

If you want to do it without the capo, it's harder to form--

It's like an A chord with F# bass.

at "...I never chose" the A is at V and the E at IV..
