From: "K.R." <9rdpk@qlink.queensu.ca> Subject: o/our_lady_peace/carnival.tab Date: Sat, 20 Oct 2001 18:07:18 -0400 Artist: Our Lady Peace Song: Carnival Album: Clumsy Transcriber: K.R. (kr7@hotmail.com) This is sort of my fav song on the album and it's fairly easy to play. if ur having difficulty on when to switch chords because you can't really tell while listening to the CD, try to adjust the EQ on ur stereo. Turn the treble all the way down, mid range all the way up and bass in the middle, that'll make the guitar part more or less stick out. This song is in drop D tunning so tune ur guitar to EBGDAD Here are the intro chords, I'm not sure if it's played on a guitar but I tabbed it anyways xxx666 xxx333 xxx111 This is the intro background solo, play it on the thin E string E--10---10---10-11-8-------13-10----10---10-11-13 Chorus E----------------------------------------------- B----------------------------------------------- G----------------------------------------------- D--x-x-8--10--6-----3----1---------------------- A--x-x-8--10--6-----3----1---------------------- D--x-x-8--10--6-----3----1---------------------- The chorus is the part where you have to really listen to know when to switch chords. you can also add a chord xxx666 between the xxx333 and xxx111, I think I heard it played that way in some parts of the song but you don't have to. if you have completely no idea what I'm talking about then just forget it, it doesn't make a lot of difference Here's the bridge between the two chorus E-------------------------------------------------- B-------------------------------------------------- G--12---12---12---12---5---5---5---5--------------- D----11---11---11---11---5---5---5---5------------- A-------------------------------------------------- D-------------------------------------------------- There, that's basically the whole song I also tabbed those little guitar fills in the chorus if you wanna know B--10--10b----------------------------------------- I think you play that twice in a chorus and the other fill is G--12brbr---15brbr---19brbr-----------------13/12-- alright I'm outta here have fun and stay alive If you see a slug in ur backyard don't panic, just email me at kr7@hotmail.com
