Walking on the Moon (live-Reunion Tour Version)-The Police
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Mike Jacobson
Email: Ukilledkenny564@aim.com
Tuning: Standard eBGDAE
The song is almost the same as the studio version just everything is tuned down
so stings voice can still sound right. It also has a cool solo that uses octives.
Part 1.
The song starts with the bass and then this chord. I think its Dm11 flat. I will
show the base line also. Andy Summers uses a lot of delay so If you want it to
sound right you can just hit the chord twice like I show. This is played in the
intro and in between verses.
e|---------------2-2---------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------2-2---------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------4-4---------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------2-2---------------------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------2-1-----------------------------------------------|
E|--2-2-4----------------------2---------------------------------------------|
Part 2.
The next part is the verse. It’s almost like the studio version but flat.
The chords are below. The last of the chord has a lot of deley. I’m not sure
how Summers does it but I would just hit it multiple times. This is use for all
of the verses in the song.
e|-----4--4--4--4--09--09--11--11--------------------------------------------|
B|-----5--5--5--5--10--10--12--12--------------------------------------------|
G|-----4--4--4--4--09--09--11--11--------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Part 3.
The Chorus of the song has a light reggae feel. The chords are below.
e|----5--5--5--5--4--4--4--4--7--7--7--5--5--5--5----------------------------|
B|----5--5--5--5--5--5--5--5--7--7--7--7--7--7--7----------------------------|
