Les fit this little diddy in during "Nature Boy" and it's called
"Skinny" on bootlegs. The words are:
Skinny was born in a bathtub
And he grew so incredibly thin
Even the end of an eyedropper
Sucked him in...etc

This song is a variation of two riffs; I'm not sure when each is
used, but riff 1 is used for the intro. There is a fill for each riff.

This song is so fast, I find it hard to figure out if he's playing,
or if he's just hiting strings. This is what I got, however, from watching
bootleg videos and it sounds right with the CD. He sometimes slips in the
varient 1.

A lot of basses don't have a 24th fret, and the ones that do, I find
it uncomfertable to play up there. So, here it is, without the two note
chords. It sounds fine even if you don't play the two note chords, btw.
The "Main Riff" plays for the intro, after "Fire her up, man". It
continues for vs. 1-2 then I have it written out. The "Patting
Section" is when Les holds all the strings down at ther same
fret, and uses his right hand in a "patting of sorts" He pats
all four strings, but I wrote it like that to give the
approximate pitch differences. The main riff variant is used
sometimes.
For those of us who want a basic sounding version, check out the easy
version. If you aren't that good, or you have to sing while plaing, or you
decide to bake lasagne while you're playing, etc. play this if you think it
sounds good. Be sure to boost the treble, though.

Right after the drum intro, Les turns on some tone and crunch filled
distortion (Anybody know what kind of pedal he uses? I think it's his good
'ol ADA $600+ pre amp) and strums all open strings. With them ringing, he
uses his whammy bar, which I haven't found a way to duplicate this on a
non whammy bass, because he uses all four strings to equal decibal
proportion.

Lyrics:
I knew a man named Michael Finnagan,
He had whiskers on his chinnagan,
Rain came up and blew tham in again,
Poor ol' man ol' Michael Finnagan...etc

This one is played on an acoustic stand-up and it doesn't sound
nearly as good, also because it's bowed. This should be played with a high
tone, or, play the "High" version, which, I think, sounds closer.
