One of These Nights The Eagles Solo Another fine example of Joe Walsh's bending prowess. I have tabbed the song as I believe it is played, but some of the bends are very difficult and I must admit I play some of the bent notes 2 frets up (without bending) if I am not feeling brave. Key: b = bend (eg 20b22 = finger on fret 20, full bend up to note 22) s = slide v = vibrato p = pull-off h = hammer-on r = release bend (eg in pre-bend, where the string is bent to the required note before picking it, then releasing) -20b22--20b22v-----|-15------------------------------------|--------- -------------------|-----17---17p15------------------------|--------- -------------------|----------------16--14--12-(12)s14--12-|--------- -------------------|---------------------------------------|-14------ -------------------|---------------------------------------|--------- -------------------|---------------------------------------|--------- -----------------------------|----|-(15)b17--15-------------------------------| -----------------------------|----|-------------------------------------------| -----------------------------|----|------------(14)b16--(14)p12----12-(14)b16-| -14p12-----------------------|----|-----------------------------14------------| --------14--12--10--13p12p10-|-s--|-------------------------------------------| -----------------------------|----|-------------------------------------------| pre-bend --15-------------------------------------|-------------19r17---------|-- -----------------------------------------|-------------------(20)b22-|-- -----(14)b16--(14)p12----12--------17----|17--15---------------------|-- ----------------------14-----14s16----16-|---------------------------|-- -----------------------------------------|---------------------------|-- -----------------------------------------|---------------------------|-- -------------|-------|---------------------0-|-10------------------------| -----8-8-8-8-|8----s-|3-----------3--5--3b---|-----8---------------------| -----7-7-7-7-|7----s-|2-------2s4------------|--------9--7---------------| -------------|-------|-----------------------|--------------9p7p5--7--5--| -------------|-------|-----------------------|---------------------------| -------------|-------|-----------------------|---------------------------| -----------------|-----------------------|-----------------------|------ -----------------|-----------------------|----------------5--5---|------ ----------(7)s9v-|--4b5r4--0--2--0-------|-4b5r4--0--2--0--------|------ -----------------|-----------------2--2--|-----------------------|------ -7--5s7----------|-----------------------|-----------------------|------ -----------------|-----------------------|-----------------------|------ pre-bend pre-bend --15-15-----------------------------17r15--12---(17)b19--(17)b19v---- ---------------------15--17r15--12----------------------------------- --------(14)b16--12-------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, there it is, as near as I can make it. What is not shown in this tablature is the nuance that Joe brings to the solo, mostly by cutting off notes, making them staccato (short) at the right times. You will have to listen to the original recording to get the feel right.
