Right Hand Assisted Harmonics
This is a common trick done by classical guitarists to pull off any harmonic that they want. It also can be used in any style of music and can be done on an electric, clean or distorted. View video
Chromatic Warmup
A Southern Fried Lick
This trick can be used in any key by changing positions and works equally well in a rock song or blues. The real thing to focus on is your vibrato. The vibrato is really a big part of your musical signature and it will take time to define. So, even thought the lick is easy, getting it to sound great still will take some patience. View video

This Charming Man, by The Smiths
Album: The Smiths (1984)
Words by Morrissey, music by Johnny Marr
Transciption by Diego Nistal (narackamous@yahoo.es)

This is the original version of the song, it differs a
little from the one that appears in Hatful of Hollow.
I use some chorus, reverb and mild compression to play
it, besides lots of trebble. A very slight overdrive
will work too.

Song: This Charming Man
Artist: The Smiths
Album: Hat Full of Hollow
date: 14 august 2001

          tab by Hassan Ahmad (the_mutch@hotmail.com)

this is the intro to the version that appears on the album.
its slightly different to the one that appears above.

e--9---9----7--7---10---9----7---7/9----14--12--12-------9-----
B--10--10---9--9---10---10---9---9/10---14--12--12-----9---12--
G----------------------------------------------------9---------
D--------------------------------------------------------------
A--------------------------------------------------------------
E--------------------------------------------------------------

e--------------9-----------------------------------------------
B--------10---------10--12--------10------10/12-12-12-12-12----
G--11-11----11---11--------11--11-----11--11/13-13-13-13-13----
D--------------------------------------------------------------
A--------------------------------------------------------------
E--------------------------------------------------------------

e--------------------------------------------------------------
B--12/14--14--14--12--12--10(let----10--12--14-14-14-14--12-12-
G--13/14--14--14--13--13--11-ring)--11--13--14-14-14-14--13-13-
D--------------------------------------------------------------
A--------------------------------------------------------------
E--------------------------------------------------------------

However instead of using the chords B-12- -14- & -10-
				    G-13- -14- -11-

you can use these shapes e-7- -9-- & -5-
			            B-9- -10- -7-

therefore the 3rd part of the intro would go like this

e--7/9---9---9---7--7--5(let----5--7--9--9--9--9--7--7-------
B--9/10--10--10--9--9--7-ring)--7--9--10-10-10-10-9--9-------
G------------------------------------------------------------
D------------------------------------------------------------
A------------------------------------------------------------
E------------------------------------------------------------

these are the same shapes used in th first part of the intro.
use which ever one you find easiest.
