Stone Temple Pilots~ Big Empty tabs
Author: anonymous

Most of this is right, but its difficult to tell for sure, due to heavy
distortion throughout most of the song. The F/A Major chord could possibly
be wrong, but it sounds alright w/ it

	E, A, D, G, B, e

2nd guitar (mid- ranged electric guitar
	         w/ heavy distortion)
	E, A, D, G ,B e

Intro (1st Guitar)
(w/ E7 and C7 chords in the background)

--8--11p10- -10-/12-----]
------------------------]
------------------------]
------------------------]
------------------------]

Verse 1 (2nd guitar)
     C7 E7

Riff 1 (1st Guitar)
Wait to the middle of the 1st verse, then play:

[--0-- let ring------]
[--1---/5~ ----------]
[--0---let ring -----]
[--------------------]
[--------------------]
[--------------------]

Chorus 1 (2nd guitar)

   G Maj F/A Maj C add 9

I personally like letting the high e string ring throughout the chords being played
Also, (if this makes it easier) don't let go of the 1st fret of the B string

Then for the (conversations kills...) part:
  G Maj F Maj E 7 sus 4 E7

Riff 2

[--10/12-\10--7 ~ ~-3--/5--6----3--5\--3--5--3---
[------------------------------------------------
[------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------]

------------------------------------------------]

Riff 3 (1st guitar)
Wait a little bit after verse 2 starts in,
   then play

[--3-\0------------------------3 p0-------------]
[----------3-h5-5 ~ ~---------------0--3-h5/-7 ~]
[-----------------------------------------------]
[-----------------------------------------------]
[-----------------------------------------------]
[-----------------------------------------------]

Verse 2
   repeat verse 1

Chorus 2
Play chorus 1 w/ the other chord transition
   that came after it

Right before you enter the bridge, play G Major, and F Major. Then when you get
to E 7-Suspended 4 ,pull-off 2nd fret (G string) to the 1st fret and hold out E7

Bridge
  2nd guitar
I'm not entirly sure about this part because
the bass throws me off, but I think its close

[-------------------------------------------
[------2-3-2----------2-3-2------2----2-
[----2-------2----------------2------------
[--2-----------2----2-----------2----2----
[-----------------3-------------------------
[-------------------------------------------

---------------------]
-3--5--3--2----------]
---------------2-----] Then repeat
-----------------2---]
 --------------------]
---------------------]
  1st Guitar
Using some type of fx (like a flanger maybe-?)
[--0/3 ~ ~ ~ ~3-\2--/3b ~ r~2 -/3-/5b ~ r~--
[-------------------------------------------
[-------------------------------------------
[-------------------------------------------
[-------------------------------------------
[-------------------------------------------

3-/5-/7b ~r ~5-/7-/9b ~r ~7-/9-/10b ~r ~--
------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------

---------10----10b---10b---10b-10r-]
--8--10----10-----10----10-----10--]
-----------------------------------]
-----------------------------------]
-----------------------------------]
-----------------------------------]

For this part, try not to bend the B string. To do this, use your pinky finger
for the E string, and then your ring finger for the B string.

Chorus 3
  Repeat chorus 1

For the, “conversations kills...” part, play:
   G Maj F Maj E-Sus 4 E Maj

The ending is a bit different than the rest:

     G Maj, F Maj, E-Sus 4, E Maj (pull-off
     E7, hammer-on E 7-Sus 4)
