("I'll bet you five...") e-----------------------| B-----------------------| G--------------3--------| D--------------3--------| A--------------1--------| E-----------------------| then it's back to the verse, where there's another variation on the verse riff (play this once) e-------------|-------------| B-------------|-------------| G-------0*----|-----3*--3*--| D-----2*----2*|---3*--3*--3*| A---2*----2*--|-1-----------| E-0-----------|-------------| then another variation (play this once) e-----------|-------------| B-----------|-------------| G-----0-----|-----3*--3*--| D-------2*--|---3*--3*--3*| A---2*----2*|-1-----------| E-0---------|-------------| then, yup, another variation. carry on playing this one throughout the bit where jack sings "you said the union forever..." e-------------|-------------| B-------------|-------------| G-------------|-----3*--3*--| D-----2*--2*--|---3*--3*--3*| A---2*--2*--2*|-1-----------| E-0-----------|-------------| then play riff D however many times, then riff C, then end on e-0-| B-0-| G-0-| D-2-| A-2-| E-0-| the instant the above is played, mute the strings with your strumming hand to stop the chord quickly for that abrupt ending. and that's it, only a couple of songs left on the album to do methinks! (little room doesn't count)
