I have been playing this tab of Airplane for a while now, and I'm sure that
it's 100% correct on the picking. I like playing to the CD as well, and I
haven't found any problems with the notes.

The song starts out with picking and then after a few bars turns to the
chorus...

The chords for the chorus are as follows:

EADGBE EADGBE EADGBE EADGBE
133XXX X355XX 355XXX 466XXX

  F C G G#

(M) in front of a chord means a muting.

Intro

----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------
---------------0---------------0--------0-----2-----
------3-----------3---------------3--------3-----3--
---------0--------------0--1---------3--------------
---1--------3--------3------------------------------

and just repeat this all the way into the lyrics.

The rest of the song is fairly simple and follows with the chord progression
of

  F (M)F C (M)C G G G G G G G G G G G

Then proceeds to slide

  G / G# G# G# G# G# \ G G G G G \ F F F F F G G G G G /

  G# G# G# G# G# \ G

After this, go back to the intro and you should be flying with Airplane in
no time!
