Date: Sun, 05 Mar 2006 21:53:20 +0200 From: Ziyon Amram Subject: z/zero_7/give_it_away.tab Here's a beautiful tune by British producers/composers Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker, who are the core of the Zero 7 musical outfit. The piece is from their great debut album, 'Simple Things'. It's basically a simple riff on acoustic guitar with Fender Rhodes and string improvisation in the background. The tune is played in Db key but it can be easier to play in B key with a capo on second fret. I enclose the tab for the latter but conversion is simple. Chord bar lines (both alternatives) are: Bar A: Db Abm7 (B F#m7) Bar B: Bmaj7 F#9 Abm (Amaj7 E9 F#m) Bar C: Abm9 Abm Abm7 (F#m9 F#m F#m7) Notes: in all cases above 9 means add ninth, not seventh with a ninth; Also some chords are played without the root note. The basic song structure is - Ax3 B Ax3 B Ax3 C On the second part these are just chords played arpeggio with the trumpet solo, closing part the riff again until fade. Enjoy! Ziyon Give it Away Zero 7 Standard tuning, capo 2nd fret.
